Amish Direct Furniture is proud to be a part of tonight’s show at 8 pm on ABC.
As business owners we feel that helping those in need in our community is the only right thing to do. When ever we have large sales, like our tent sale in september we always have something going on for some sort of charity. This year we have made donations to the humane society and extreme makeover home edition. Both are very worthy causes that really do a tremendous job with their work.
We commend all that feel charity is important and all that have made it their lifes work.
Ok we have confirmed that our truck is scheduled to arrive on the 19th of november. The furniture will probably arrive in mid-afternoon and take a couple hours to unload. Once we get everything squared away Tami should start calling eveyone who has furniture here to schedule their deliveries.
An item that’s turned out to be quite popular is our Amish Recipe books. Especially the ones with the pie recipes! Now with the permission of the Author we are posting those recipes on our site. We’re trying to put a few up everyday. As time goes on we may just set up something just for those reicpes since ther are so many. Right now you can find them hrere Amish recipes.
As I said though we will probably move them to a different platform so they are easier to browse through. If you dont want to wait for us to post all the recipes or want to keep them around for easy use you can find it Amish Recipes book
On a pretty regular basis we have customers ask us about the places we go to and recommend down in Amish country. So we have set up a great directory about all the places we go when were in Amish country. We’ll be updating it on a regular basis as time allows. If you know of a place that we haven’t listed you can suggest it. Or if see one listed that you really like please vote for it that way others can get a better idea of the best places to visit, eat and stay when they take a vacation to Amish country.
So if you’re contemplating a visit or have some place you would recommend please visit our Amish Country Directory and let eveyone know.
We tracked down an easy we for our visitors and customers both here in southeastern michigan and from across the country to give us feed back and ideas about our site and the things we need to do to keep you happy.
So please if you ahve any suggestions please click on the feedback tab on the right hand side of the window and let us know what you think we should do or change. Any and all suggesting are welcome. If you browse around and see something that was suggested that you agree with please vote for it. This is the only way that we can be sure it’s important to you. The more votes a suggestion gets the quicker we will respond to it and try to make the changes.
Without you our valued customer we wouldn’t exist and this is one way easy way to let us know what you think.
Thanks for giving us feed back and we look forward to any and all of the feed back that you leave for us.
We have finally been able to track down a whole bunch of mission furniture plans. So many in fact that there are 3 pdf’s that you can download and use. These plans are free. We will also be adding them to out site one by one that way you can get an idea of the way the plans are laid out.
The plans are definitely not for the beginner. They will require some knowledge of basic woodworking principles but they are not hard to follow at all. In the pdf’s you’ll find plans and material lists for morris chairs, writing desks, rockers, dining chairs and all kinds of other mission furniture from bookcases to lamps.
All the plans follow the construction techniques and standards of the Arts and Crafts movement making them very strong and assuming you choose your wood properly and put everything together right the furniture is sure to last you a lifetime.
Finally they have arrived! We are now very happy to carry a full line of upholstered furniture with solid hard wood frames!! The frames are built by the Amish in Ohio and upholstered in eastern Ohio.
- Platform Rocker
- The ladies wall recliner
- Solid wood framed Loveseat Recliner
- Large solid wood framed Rocker Recliner
- Large Overstuffed Rocker Recliner
There is a bunch of different fabrics available and it typically take 6 to 10 weeks to get one once you order it. This really helps complete our showroom and allows us to offer literally all the furniture you could need for your home. The best part is it’s all made in America and solid wood.
The frames are all solid hard wood glued and doweled together which is attached to a metal base frame that sits on the floor. The metal frame has been found to quite a bit more durable when it comes to moving it around.
Our regular driver recently had surgery. His recovery isn’t going well. Yesterday he called me and said that he couldn’t make it because he isn’t even off of crutches yet. After a lot of calls and scrambling around we managed to find someone else to bring the furniture up on the 15th instead. This is tentative but we should be back on our original schedule.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Duane and I we really hope things get better soon.
Initially our delivery truck from indiana was scheduled to arrive on the 15th. This has now been changed to the tuesday the 14th. More than likely it will arrive early in the day so we should have time to inspect everything and start calling people to pick up their fruniture or schedule you home deliveries.
